Notes, Sketch, Action Items, etc.:
OFFICE REVIEW:
60% SMUs released. Repair March 2021 on 9 areas of concern (475 LF of stabilization). No credits released past 2 years. Invasives
treated 3 times in 2020 (kudzu, privet, honeysuckle, MF Rose, oriental bittersweet, morning glory, Eng Ivy). Kudzu continues to be
a problem (1.9% of CE). Supplemental planted VP 2 & 3 in 2019. All VPs meeting success, 13% have low vigor. Beaver removed in
2019. REPAIRS COMPLETED IN 2021:Stone toe boulder structure instability at XS-M4 & M6, caused increased cross -sectional area.
Deposition along banks. Silage Trib R1 & R2 downcutting at XS-ST2, ST3, ST6. Bank scour XS-ST1 & STS. New bank instability in
MY5 at STA 13+40, 21+80, 25+70, 30+30, 37+60. Structures piping on Silage Trib. New areas of bank instability at STA 19+10, 43
+10, 44+90, 64+10. Both wetland outlets below UT8 & UT10 headcuts migrating up into wetlands. Moores Fork has several toe
structures that shifted with bank scour behind them. Pond trib has aggradation in upper portion. Big headcut and culvert erosion
on Corn Trib. Table 1 shows El at 1:1. SITE VISIT super necessary. Extend monitoring.
FIELD REVIEW (July 28,2021):
UT1- repair area 3A, does not go to origin and will likely be a sediment source later. This area is not credited however repairs
were done in an attempt to stabilize. A lot of the rock that was used for the repair was pushed to center or further downstream- a
lot of water moves through- runoff from the field. Large Rock drop may be moving stone out and exposing fabric. KCI did the
repairs. No work warranty.
Other reach Adjacent looks similar. DMS is considering doing livestakes in winter to help stabilize. The ones there now are doing
well. Concrete was noted in the stream at the Silage R2 confluence.
Silage R2 Main channel had a good bit of erosion, this was an El REACH.
Repair area 2. Had rock that was pushed from above. Bank was undercutting below the confluence. DMS noted that there is no
downcutting because of the bedrock.
Silage R1 had downed trees into/above stream. At risk of entire slope collapsing. DMS will not be able to fix, this area had very
steep slopes. Another ephemeral channel having the same issues as the previous repair areas. Silage R2 holding repair, Also E1.
Kudzo seen here.
Cow trib.- will need fencing if cattle are put on it. New Landowners are aware but no plans for cattle right now. Repair was not
credited, also to stabilize and limit sediment source. Looks similar to others. Credit area repair looked good.
Mainstem at the bridge on Moores- Repair area looks good and vegetated.
Ut8 looks good at confluence.
Between UT8 and UT9 there was a small encroachment- DMS installed tall poles with white tape to clearly mark the boundary.
There was an access road that was used for repair, this area was replanted. Veg doing well on main channel.
UT8 Wetland area okay and repair also looks good on stream here.
Summary: Repairs at the bottom look good. Upper end repairs are meh and will be live staked. Will be released as proposed.
Leaves 15%. Will also be treating kudzu.

Erin,
Please see the notes and KML for Moores Fork site visit conducted on July 28, 2021. Hopefully, this
will be a good way for us to document site visits moving forward... still trying to fiddle with it. The
KML has pinpoints where you can see photos of the area.
