I met Cary, Darren, Lonnie, and Greg onsite today to confirm that all EC concerns found on 10/13/21 have been addressed. Permit Site 4: Sediment has been retrieved and disturbed areas have been seeded and mulched. Basins B- 121 and B-122 have been installed and are now accepting roadway runoff through TD and slope drains. Permit Site 6: Sediment has been cleaned up and all disturbed areas have been seeded and mulched. Perimeter EC measures at both sites 4 and 6 appear to be in good shape with no further EC concerns to mention currently. Moving forward: I was informed today by Darren, Lonnie, and Greg today about how Basin B-134 has been shifted to waste pit 5 due to conflict with current toe of slope. It appears that the new basin location will work if TD and slope drains continue to allow drainage to be directed into designated basin. Roadside Environmental is fine with this field adjustment since the storage volume of basin has not changed from original design. RSS fill slopes, basin maintenance, and basin removal continue to be an ongoing concern. After discussion onsite it was determined that track equipment can walk down RSS fill slopes to perform these operations if they remain in same footprint each time these operations are performed. When fill slopes are disturbed during these activities ensure that disturbed slopes are adequately stabilized by permanently seeding and matting. Continue to ensure that excelsior wattle barriers are installed parallel with fill slopes every 20 ft lifts during stage seeding operations per discussion onsite with Darren, Lonnie, and Greg. Continue to ensure that ESA areas are well protected by having all the required EC measures in place per the approved EC plans. Keep in mind that ESA areas are required to be worked until completion and stabilized per the NCGO1 permit. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email or call. Thank you in advance for all your efforts. 8 10/26/2021 4:11 PM Page 1 of 2 10/26/2021 4:11 PM Page 2 of 2
