The Site contains agricultural fields in the eastern portion and forested areas in the western portion. Surrounding areas are rural with a mix of farmland and undeveloped wooded areas.

The purpose of the project is to construct a residential subdivision to help meet the demand for housing in the area.

The overall project is a single-family residential subdivision with residential streets and utilities that will connect to existing adjacent streets and utilities. The proposed impact results from

The proposed roads and lots were positioned to reduce or avoid impacts to wetlands and streams to the maximum extent practicable. There are
approximately 20.3 acres of wetlands onsite, of which on 0.08 are proposed to be permanently impacted. No streams are proposed to be impacted.

Construction fencing will be used to define the construction corridor and prevent any accidental additional impacts, while silt fencing will be installed to
provide additional protection from runoff.

On July 27, 2021, we received correspondence from the North Carolina Natural Heritage Program (NCNHP). Based on their review, one elemental
occurrence of Cape Fear shiner is listed on the Site, however, it has not been observed since 1986.
