Comment I would like to add my comments to the OFFICIAL ADMINISTRATIVE RECORD. In December 2019 I purchased a home in the Horton Hills neighborhood for myself and my infant daughter. Some of the main reasons I chose this location was because it is a relatively quiet neighborhood with no through traffic and it's proximity to the wilderness area of the Eno river. My daughter is now 2-1/2 and we have hiked in the woods between my neighborhood and the river many times during the lockdown. am strongly opposed to the Black Meadow Ridge development because it will greatly increase traffic near my house and increase the risk to my daughter as well as the dozen or more children in the neighborhood who are roughly her age, not to mention the increase in the noise level in the area. Additionally, this would have a detrimental effect on the Eno river and the wildlife in and around it (and in our neighborhood), also, my child and the others in the neighborhood would be denied access to a nearby wildlife area that can currently be accessed without having to load them up in a car and drive somewhere. Hopefully, all who read this have walked in the woods at some point as a child, like I did and remember the joy of discovering new objects, animals, and plants, and can sympathize with the need for today's youth to be able to have the same experience very near their homes.
