The Eno River feels like home to me in Durham. It is a place that protects the outdoors, its species, and the
human -nature relationship. This project did not apply for the correct permitting nor do I believe it truly took into
consideration its environmental impact, including water contamination, deforesting, and species impact.
Durham is a city that is rapidly growing. Our downtown skyline has changed over the last 5 years and there are
more luxury condos than we know what to do with. This city did not prepare for the influx of this population, and
you can tell by the lack of public space.
The Eno is that public space. It is important to prioritize this park and the impact this park has on our community
well being over profits.
