Good morning everyone,
I am passing along the DRAFT documents for the Benson Quarry Expansion project for your review prior to our meeting
on Monday. The Draft EA document includes the purpose and need for the project, descriptions of all alternatives, and
other background information. At this point, it does not yet include a suitable Avoidance and Minimization section or
details about wetland mitigation. The final avoidance and minimization section will include information about the
diversion channel and non - impacted wetlands once those details have been worked out. At this point, Martin Marietta
is still in conversations with a private mitigation bank to determine if sufficient credits are available. If not, Martin
Marietta will apply for credits through EEP.
Please let Brian or me know if you have any comments prior to the meeting on Monday. Thank you for your continued
assistance with this project.
