This is a written response regarding Incident Number 202101714.
After arriving to work on August 9, 20211 noticed that the RAS Flow had once again plummeted.
Myself and 2 other employees immediately reacted. I asked the guys to turn off the aerators on the
ditch and set the pump back up that Untied Rentals had not yet picked back up at the time. Then once
the solids had settled, I could reroute flow to circulate the plant. 1 made contact with the neighboring
Town that assisted just a few days prior to see if they could assist us again, but they were unable to.
While 1 was on the phone, the plant had become overwhelmed and I was once again forced to
turn some flow directly to the effluent. Being that the flow had significantly dropped I was able to put
the plant back recirculating a lot sooner. 1 then returned to making calls to find a contractor to come
assist us with cleaning out our RAS line. After numerous phone call I made contact with Keen Plumbing
the came and assisted us costing $754.35.
Since the 2 incidents we have had the valve replaced by Pearson Pumps costing $2,613.76 so we
can flush the line like it needs to be, we are cleaning pumps more often and started dumping out the bar
screen basket more often. After doing this we have not had any more issues and everything has been
running great.
