On behalf of our client, the Halle Companies, Kimley-Horn is
submitting this pre -filing notification for the proposed Sunnybrook
Apartments project. The Project is situated east of Sunnybrook Road
and north of Rock Quarry Road within the Neuse River Basin in
Raleigh, Wake County, NC.
The area surrounding the project is largely suburban, with scattered
undeveloped forested land, residential housing, and commercial
development. Additionally, the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at
Walnut Creek and its associated parking is located adjacent to the
eastern boundary of the Project. This project proposes to construct
approximately 316 multifamily units, a clubhouse, and pool within the
Project. Access driveways are proposed along Rock Quarry Road
and Sunnybrook Road. It is anticipated that the project will qualify for
authorization under NWP 29 (Residential Developments) or NWP 18
(Minor Discharges). A Riparian Buffer Authorization is also
anticipated for riparian buffer encroachments.
We are not requesting a meeting at this time, however if either
USACE or NCDWR would like a meeting please let us know.
