This seems like an important project to help alleviate the massive housing shortage in our community, and I
support the development. I understand there are some groups raising concerns about the forest clearing,
proximity to a park, and nearby streams. What new development in Durham wouldn't involve clearing of land,
wouldn't be near streams, and isn't part of a watershed? It seems like the same concerns could be raised about
most developments in our community, but a vocal minority opposed to the project are posting talking points on
various neighborhood list -serves to amplify their personal interests.
