Comment The ridgeline that this project/development will consume is critical infrastructure for the watershed of the Eno River one of the only ridges in Durham City that hasn't been developed it should remain undeveloped and be annexed by West point on the email for additional trails public use even camping which right now West Point on the Eno lacks. My son has hiked the entire area for many years and has discovered many unique rock outcroppings and native species of mushroom trees wildlife including owls Hawks crows woodpeckers I'm sure there's other places that would be more cost-effective to develop considering all of the shelf rock that exists on the land. I have lived in Durham since 2007 and have been visiting the Durham Area since 1987 I have seen a lot of development since I first visit in here there is plenty of land that would be less costly to the environment and the Eno River that would also be more cost-effective for a profit driven company. I understand the need for housing but at this time of so much damage to our natural environment we need to be more selective about the natural environment that we destroy for housing it would seem a piece of farmland would be more appropriate than forest land especially adjacent to a city park that means so much to the entire city whether they've discovered it yet or not. Let's continue with the mentality of the tobacco District in downtown Durham and preserve the most valuable things about Durham for future generations I think this piece of land falls into that category walk it all of you before you develop it Decide for yourselves by knowing it personally like I do and my family does Upload Supplementary Files Pdf file type only Any information (e.g., personal or contact) you provide on this comment form or in an attachment may be publicly disclosed and searchable on the Internet and will be provided to the Department or Agency issuing the notice.
