I am strongly opposed to this development. The Eno River is beloved. We have to value and protect such a
Jewel. It feels like fighting for the soul of our community. Clear-cut development, townhouses on that ridge,
would devastate the ecology. Visible housing of any kind would change everything about this beautiful place that
provides so much to Durham.
On a broader scale it is urgent that we start looking at the big picture for Northern Durham. Continuing to
allowing zoning changes without following a broad well -thought out modern Comprehensive Plan will lead us to
the rampant scattershot development that is happening in SE Durham.
There is no urgency to develop that makes it worth doing such harm. We're not going to solve the national
housing crisis. Let's be thoughtful about the environment and quality of life here.
