My family and I have been going to Eno River State Park, and West Point on the Eno for years. My husband and
I recently hiked on the Eno via the Cole Mill Road access. We met a young couple who asked us to take a
picture of them standing on the rocks in the river. They had just moved to Durham and felt so blessed to have
access to this beautiful, peaceful, restorative respite that is the Eno.
As a North Carolina native and a Durham resident, I am opposed to the Westpoint project. I feel that it will
jeopardize the physical and social integrity of an area that continues to draw visitors near and far.
