The development of Westpoint on the Eno would be a terrible loss to both the people of Durham and the
environment. Rivers are important for many reasons, as are the areas around them. This specific area also
serves as a place for many people in out community to connect with nature and experience things not possible
without the green spaces of Durham. Development of any kind in this space is bound to have dire consequences
to our community's culture, people, mental health, and physical health as well.
Please also consider the children who grow and thrive in this space. I grew up visiting Westpoint and playing in
the woods, that made my life magical. The next generations deserve to live lives full of wonder and curiosity, too.
Westpoint provides that sense of wonder, but not if we keep bulldozing it.
