The leaders of Durham have TOTALLY SOLD OUT their commitment to make Durham the special city it has
been since I was born. I am a native of Durham and I am amazed at the ease these developers have been able
to sway our city staff that their development will enhance that location by first scalping the land and then building
moderately built homes that sale at a very high price.
So does Durham benefit here? NO. ONLY THE CONTRACTORS WILL BENEFIT BY THEIR HUGE PROFITS!
Ladies and gentlemen of the city government. Why let these contractors destroy one of our most beloved parks?
What Durham needs is affordable housing. Tell these developers to first do something for our citizens before
they can line their pockets with profits from devastating one of our most precious Durham attributes - the Eno
River Park lands.
Oh, and how do you plan to handle additional traffic on Roxboro Rd with Northern High School being build just
down the road. Should we hold you responsible for the accidents that will likely happen with young drivers that
will have to deal with the increase of traffic on an already dangerous road.
Please Durham Government - think with your hearts, not with the increase in tax revenue lull!!
