As a resident of Durham within walking distance to the Westpoint on the Eno River Park on Roxboro Rd, I
oppose the development proposed on the southside of the park. Multiple real estate developments have
occurred and are planned in the near vicinity, including a new high school with athletic fields on Roxboro Rd near
the Eno River and park. Runoff from current housing, shopping areas & businesses already poses pollution &
flooding dangers to residential areas Wildlife habitat is already affected by past development; wild animals are
now frequent problems for local residents & farms due to loss of habitat. Environmental impact evaluation of
such a large development is essential to maintain safety, quality of life, and existing property Traffic is already
very heavy on local highways where there are no sidewalks & only two lanes. Please do not allow development
near a lovely park & River that draws visitors throughout the year & is cherished by local residents. Protect this
environment from imminent damage & provide public input into any and all present or future planning processes.
