I have been a resident of Argonne Hills since 1990. There has been an increase in traffic on Roxboro St. and
flooding in Argonne Hills during this time. The flooding has been so great that our home and a home across the
street have been flooded multiple times. It required a foundation company to install drains to accomodate the
increased flooding and stop my home from being flooded.
The building of homes and town homes will add add more traffic volume to Roxoboro St. A new Northern H.S. is
being built on Roxboro St. across from Argonne Hills. Increased traffic volume will now be add to the traffic
volume to Roxoboro St where this new project is being planned. Increased traffic volume will also add to the
dificulty/danger of exiting our neighbor hood.
Another hazard of allowing new homes/townhomes to be built will be the effect on water drainage in Argonne
Hills. Since moving to Argonne Hills the problem of storm water drainage has gotten worse. I am not sure how
the storm water drainage will be effected by the building of new homes on land where the storm runnoff water
use to drain.
The problems Identified will have an adverse effect on West Point on the Eno park. The increased traffic volume
near the park and the potential for increased flooding in the storm water system which empties into the park with
effect the nature of the park.
In closing two other factors will effect my neighborhood and the park. I don't know if funds were budgeted to
address repairs at Northern H.S. as it aged. Currently a monument to the lowest bidder is being constructed
across from my neighborhood. I wonder if there will be funds available to address the schools needs as it ages.
The location of the new H.S. will be creating multiple unintended concequenes to West Point on The Eno.
