I am writing to voice my strong opposition to permit application for the Westpoint development on Black Meadow
Ridge in Durham NC adjacent to the Eno River. This project will have significant impacts to: water quality,
endangered & threatened species, West Point City Park and National Register Historic Site, and dozens of other
issues that are not being addressed in this permit.
A Public Hearing should be required for this development.
This project/permit are not in the Public Interest of the residents of Durham, those living downstream, or the
environment.
Groups like Save Black Meadow Ridge and the Eno River Association have raised many concerns about the
Westpoint development, and I believe each point being raised by these groups needs more thorough
investigation. I would appreciate a response that reflects the vetting of all the concerns being raised by these
groups.
This project will have a significant public Impact and needs greater oversight through a different permit type and
higher level of review.
