I frequently hike along this part of the Eno River with my family and friends. As an elementary school educator I
teach my students of the rich biodiversity in and around the river. We also acknowledge the environmental
impacts humans have on the river plants, animals, and water quality. I understand the necessity of building new
homes in Durham but do not believe the distruction of 60 acres along the Eno River is a sound financial or
environmental choice. Construction will impact flooding, water quality, and air pollution, causing more damage
than good to all of those living in the Durham community. Please do not move forward with this current
development project.
