Please pick the response below that represents your stance on the above mentioned project?* Yes - I agree with the project. No - I do not agree with the project. Comment I am strongly opposed to this project. The Eno River park area is a treasure, not only for the citizens of Durham but the surrounding areas. I have spent many happy hours at the West Point park with my children and now my grandchildren. This proposed residential development project is harmful in so many ways: * it has the potential to impact safe drinking water for the city of Durham * runoff from the construction has the potential to destroy popular watersheds/wetlands used for swimming, fishing and other recreational activities * the permit contains incorrect, incomplete or conflicting information with regard to environmental compliance with the Clean Water Act * the application fails to account for potential damage to historic sites, including the Eno Grist Mill and the potential for flooding in the existing park area as a result of this new constriction having this many residences in such close proximity to the park will destroy the beauty and quiet of this beloved area I strongly encourage the Division of Water Resources to hold a public hearing on this matter. Additionally the existing permit should be reviewed by them and the US Army Corps of Engineers and they should reject the application as it proposed as I do not believe the assessments made therein reflect the true impact of this proposed development. A further look into the permit type required should be considered by the USACE. Thank you.
