As a long time hiker and supporter of the Eno River State Park, I find this project proposal extremely problematic.
Rules in the state for protecting stream buffers are lax and there's real possibility of significant run off both during
the construction of this project and once it's built, adding sediment and fertilizers to the river system, to its
detriment.
More important, though, is how this project will degrade the wooded areas that the Eno River Association has
carved out of rapidly -urbanizing Durham. And this project will cause significant impact for the few wild things -
foxes, birds, beavers and aquatic creatures - that still call the Eno home.
In short: no. No. NO.
