This land has been ticking a time bomb that would inevitably be targeted. There was slight project ideas I believe
in 2006 (and obviously the original sorta permit from Eno Connector period that is really irrevelant now. And I
have expressed concerns to various for years. I live about 10 minute drive South of this area. And the West Point
Eno is a true gem of Durham Parks. Never mind the whole Eno River State Park.
I am humbly requesting denial and the ceasing of Westpoint development and their permit application. For sure
the assessments do not reflect the impacts of the development. As well as the impacts from the 401 Individual
Clean Water Act Permit disturbances. This project or specific permit is in the Public Interest of Durham residents
or the environment- and I believe a Public Hearing should be required for this development.
The Save Black Meadow Ridge and the Eno River Association groups have raised many concerns that follow my
own, and each area concern being raised by this \needs more thorough investigation, and would appreciate a
response that reflects the vetting of those concerns.
This is a project that should be deemed to have a significant environmental, conservation, water quality, and in
general great Durham citizens' quality of life impact and likely needs greater oversight through a different permit
type and higher level of review.
