There are multiple negative impacts to West on the Eno with this project. This is a beautiful preserved park and
historical land mark. Building along the Eno will destroy endangered species and their habitat. Enough has
already been stripped away in North Durham. North Durham Roxboro St is already over capacity with
commuters and with the new Northern High School, it will cause tremendous travel issues, accidents, much
more pollution, more frequent damage to the road needing repair, etc.
The developer's application needs multitudes of investigating. It omits how the negative impacts on water quality,
specifically Durham's drinking water, ignores public safety as mentioned above, incorrect/incomplete information,
negates the negatively impacts historic sites, and overall wrong!!!
Due to the above reasons, I believe the permit needs further review from the US Army Corps of Engineers, along
with additional oversight and impact assessments. I am requesting a public hearing from the Division of Water
Resources per code: 15A NAC .02H .0503
There are already major issues with flooding and stormwater runoff, and this development will 100% impact the
already major issues we are experiencing now with no resolution.
Me and my family have lived here for 38+ years, raised our children on the Eno, done multiple field trips from
school, picnicked, fell in love with the West Point Mill, and more and more.
There is general, human environmental, Endangered Species and their habitat, Historical Site of West Point on
the Eno impacts to these areas along with added public transpiration and added various pollutions.
Respectfully,
Kelly Baldwin
