West Point on the Eno Park is an unusual and particularly beautiful public space heavily utilized by the people of
Durham and the Triangle. The park protects the Eno River and serves a wide variety of human functions. It is a
wonderfully accessible, well -used, well -loved, and environmentally rich space.
The proposed development is not appropriate for Black Meadow Ridge. Because of it's relatively high
percentage of impermeable surface, location, and lack of buffer -- the development presents a threat to drinking
water, the health of the Eno River, and the important wildlife that live in West Point on the Eno Park.
Please do not allow this development in such a naturally and historically rich location adjacent to a park and river
on which so many people depend.
