I don't understand why the baffle would only be on the downstream end instead of running the entire length of the
culvert. Am I missing something or misinterpreting the drawing?

Per your request I have attached a copy of the drawings which shows the baffle that has a "notched weir" at the outlet of
the pipe. This is to address the concern that the stream might get over -wide since DOT mandates a 12 foot wide box at
this location. The channel is approximately 4 feet wide.

Welcome to Briar Chapel.
Attached is a revision to the approved permit for the Briar Chapel Project. The revision is simply changing the size of the
pipe structure and updating the erosion control practices for the installation thereof. The file that references the approved
road crossing is what was permitted and it called for a 72 inch pipe. The approved erosion control document is attached
for reference. The final drawing shows the installation of a box culvert using diversions and a pump around. I will be
attending a pre- construction conference on September 30, 2013.
Please let me know if you have any comments or if you would want to attend that meeting.
