This proposed project will cause irreparable harm to the water quality of the Eno River, will increase flooding in
existing neighborhoods, will bring the destruction of the wooded buffer that protects West Point in the Eno city
park. Durham has worked for years to protect land and cultural artifacts along the Eno River, part of the Neuse
watershed. This proposed project presents a clear threat to the Eno and those downstream who depend on the
Neuse for their drinking water. The developers have already shown blatant disregard for nature by illegally
clearing trees in the lot. They can not be trusted to protect our local environment.
