Almost the entire industrial process takes place inside the facility, with the exception of the loading dock area and an egg waste silo. A truck parks under the egg waste silo and the waste is dropped into the truck and hauled away. The egg waste silo is sprayed down with water for cleaning. The loading dock area is also sprayed down. The spray water in both areas is collected in a "first flush" system. All drains within the warehouse and the first flush water are treated onsite in a subsurface wastewater treatment system that functions like a septic tank. The only other structures outside are generators and dumpsters. Three of the dumpsters are for general trash. One of the dumpsters is for scrap metal. A hydraulic lift had been dumped in the dumpster. Hydraulic fluid had leaked from teh lift into the dumpster. The facility contact stated they would have it pumped out. Metal cleaner was stored outside in a storm resistant shed. It was stated the barrels should be stored in secondary containment and capped. Other chemicals observed onsite were disinfectants and peroxides. These are stored inside the facility and any spilled liquid would drain to the onsite wastewater treatment. Coverage is recomended under the NCG06.
