The US Army Corps of Engineers is the lead agency and a permit is anticipated under the Section 404 process with the USACE. The project vicinity map is attached, and the coordinates are 36.461267, -81.144013. I have also attached the results of a 2021 archaeology survey at this location. We would appreciate any information you might have that would be helpful in evaluating potential environmental impacts of the project. Your comments will be used in the preparation of a NEPA/SEPA Environmental Document, in accordance with the State and/or National Environmental Policy Act. Please respond by October 31st, 2021, so that your comments can be used in the project development process.
