I called the homeowner yesterday to double check, he did confirm that an above ground petroleum tank which is
located in the very rear of the residence, he did a measurement for me and advised me that the above ground tank is
located 84 feet from the proposed drill site area if you have any other further questions please email or call 828‐776‐

The attached application indicates the boreholes will be 21 feet off the house foundation. Because this
is an older home, there is a high likelihood that the house has had either a underground storage tank or
an above ground storage tank. You’ll need to confirm the existence of any fuel tanks and provide the
setback distance to the boreholes. Let me know if you have any questions. I can also be reached at (984)
