Steve,
I was reviewing the courtesy copy for the Makelyville Road pipe replacement project. I wanted
to remind you that when utilizing the NWP 3 in an coastal county and the project requires a
CAMA permit you need to submit a copy of that permit along with the project information or
prior to the project commencing, (Regional Condition 2.3). Also you may want to check and
make sure that the crew installing the new pipe understands that the pipe has to be counter
sunk 12 inches when the project is in Public Trust Areas of Environmental Concern (AEC)
and/or the Estuarine Waters AEC as designated by the Coastal Area Management Act (CAMA).
With these small pipes that some times causes an issue. Let me know if you have any
questions.
