The three main concerns, that you will inevitably have heard plenty about are as follows:
- negative impacts on water quality, including drinking water.
- public safety concerns about direct human contact with runoff from the development
- negative impacts on threatened and endangered species and their habitat
Wetland habitat is chronically under appreciated and degraded by developers. It is crucial for flood mitigation and
the cleaning of chemical waste from land and water. The short sighted approach of development serves only to
exacerbate this ongoing problem. Stop kowtowing to capital and leave this beautiful tract of essential wetland in
its current state as a public park.
