This development project would ruin a lot of existing forest, and would badly impact the existing parkland in West
Point on the Eno and the nearby Eno River State Park. It's the wrong place for a development of this size and
intensity.
When the project was first proposed over a decade ago, there was talk of possibly protecting the land by adding
the current West Point on the Eno city parkland to the adjoining State park land, and then taking the land by
eminent domain, thus creating a larger preserved area around the river. I strongly support this approach.
Right now, the watershed is seriously at risk, as are historic sites, fish, birds, etc. Stop this now!
