I do not agree with the development of this project and the destruction of a natural environment to build condos.
West Point on the Eno River Park is a beautiful space for fellowship and existing in nature. Every day we see
housing developments going up around town that destroy the environment and perpetuate pollution in the air and
water around us. We know that the environment is dying each and every day, which means we need to do
everything we can to protect it. Additionally, the developers fail to acknowledge that the Grist Mill in this area is a
historic site, and construction could potentially damage that historic site which is preserved by the state of North
Carolina. I believe this project is unnecessary and would have negative long-term impacts on the environment
and our Durham community.
