Durham citizens are so fortunate to have the Eno park available to them! It is a pristine and unique place to enjoy
nature so close to our other wonderful amenities. It seems every other corner of Durham is full of construction
equipment and growth. It's at times like this we want to escape into a natural beautiful calming park like Eno. I
would be greatly disappointed if any amount of the Eno is developed with crowded town homes and subdivision
living. I've always felt Durham was the type of city that valued its greenspaces more highly than profits. The
landscape And forestry of Durham County have changed so much in my life. I grew up in Creedmoor coming to
Durham frequently and bought my own home here 11 years ago. I drive to chapel hill for work and the growth is
astonishing but also frustrating. The city is choked with traffic and noise. The parks already suffer with noise
pollution and there is no true quiet place. Eno manages to still keep its grace and beauty amongst all this
change. The wildlife it protects deserve a home as they are further pushed out of forests elsewhere. I love seeing
fish, turtles and snake in the river. I love hearing birds in the trees. The herons And cranes are spectacular on
the riverbanks. Please save the sanctity of Eno River Park. I would love to see it with easements to protect from
further development. Future generations deserve a the Eno as it is. Not lined with townhouses and parking lots.
