The negative impacts of this project are vast - environmental, water quality, endangered species, habitat
destruction, and disruption to the historic site of West Point on Eno. - Taken together with the well -documented
large public opposition - the Division of Water Resources and US Army Corps of Engineers should review and
reject the application as it proposed. A closer investigation into the permit type required should be considered by
the USACE, and a Public Hearing should be required from the Division of Water Resources.
I assume you have been barraged with detail from what I hope has been a public outpouring of opposition to this
project. Please heed these calls. It would be deeply disheartening to see our shared public resources take a
back seat to scattered bureaucratic processes and the interests of developers take priority over the well-being of
the community.
