I am a lifelong Durham resident and a frequent visitor of the Eno River.
I am hoping that y'all will find it within yourselves to deny permit applications for the impending development at
Black Meadow Ridge/near West Point on the Eno.
The Eno River is delicate enough as is and this development would, without a doubt, lead to increased pollution
and destruction of the ecosystem. The location of the development would worsen traffic and congestion in this
part of North Durham. While Durham needs housing, this is not the housing we need.
Eno River State Park is integral to Durham. At the very least, a project of this scale with this much potential for
destructive impact needs a more public and extensive vetting process than what has happened thus far.
I hope y'all will find it in your heart to do the right thing.
