The proposed project to build 379 townhouses and single family homes on 60+ acres near West Point on the
Eno city park is not in the best interest of the community. 54 acres of trees and vegetation would be destroyed.
Storm runoff from the new roads, sidewalks and rooftops would run into creeks that feed the Eno River. There
would be damage to the ecosystem and the natural habitat and flooding of this area would increase. This
development would increase traffic in the area and with the new Northern High School being built just blocks
away would create a traffic nightmare. West Point on the Eno Park is a jewel in our growing city. Yes more
houses are needed but not in this area. Please do not let this project proceed.
