I am opposed to the Westpoint development and their permit application. The assessments currently being used
are outdated and do not reflect the actual potential impact of this development.
My family and I use the Eno River for both recreation and educational pursuits (we own a preschool in Durham).
Keith Brown has already illegally clear cut several acres of forest. A full 54 acres of clear cut will increase
flooding in the area, decrease the quality of the Eno River watershed, and increase density in an ecologically
sensitive area. Not to mention the fact that this development won't even benefit the community by providing
affordable housing.
Please do the right thing and allow the public to understand the true nature of this gross example in ecological
devastation in the pursuit of gentrification.
