Hi Lauren, It is our intention to restore our facility to the conditions of General Permit # NCG530159. I will update you and your office as to how this restoration is proceeding. Today, Oct 21, I contacted a contractor in the area who is familiar with our facility and how the wastewater stream works on site. He originally installed our permitted outfall to the Yadkin River. We expect to begin next week by locating the old outfall pipes. Before we begin any work to restore the line, we will share our plans with your office to see if they will satisfy the discharge permit. Hello Mikal, I have been forwarded your contact for questions about the Non-discharge permitting process by your colleagues from the Asheville NCDWR office. They were out at the fish farm facility I manage for an inspection of our existing NPDES permit and there are issues they found we must resolve. What are our options if we wanted to change from a Discharge to a Non-discharge permit? I'd like to talk over the phone about our options at your earliest convenience.
