I am in favor of DEQ granting 401 permits and other associated permits for the Westpoint project. As a former
resident of Durham, I am attempting to return but have found very little for -sale inventory of the type proposed in
this project. Meeting the high demand for new residential construction on an infill site such as Westpoint is the
better choice for Durham. If not permitted, new construction is likely to occur on greenfield sites that require all -
new road, water, wastewater, and other infrastructure, creating far more impervious surface and negative water
quality impacts. Thank you for considering my comment in support of Westpoint.
