#1 A large stand or trees if cut down, can never be replaced. The many benefits of trees include decreasing
noise pollution,recreation, absorbing carbon dioxide, and well documented studies showing the sight of trees
bolster the psyche of people.
#2 There is much evidence on the National and state level that land conservation is the most effective means of
controlling long-term municipal costs associated with development- such as providing services for public
education for new residents, paved and maintained streets and sidewalks, storm water infrastructure and other
utilities, and fire and police protection.
