Hi,
I am opposed to the Westpoint development that is proposed on Black Meadow Ridge for the following reasons:
The Eno River is a cherished natural resource and enjoyed by many residents in the area. The Westpoint
development threatens the health of the river and the fragile organisms that depend on it.
Development this close to the river threatens water quality for the citizens that rely on the Eno and Falls Lake for
drinking water.
This particular site jeopardizes the character and visual elements of West Point on the Eno Park, a place
beloved by residents and the site for many school trips, the Eno River Festival, and other educational and civic
events.
Furthermore, there is significant opposition from the residents who would be impacted by this development on a
daily basis.
I hope that you will weigh these facts and require a public hearing and a higher level of review before granting
the developers a permit.
