I strongly oppose this project moving forward, especially with the type of permit it currently seeks and its lack of
sufficient oversight and research on environmental impact. I've lived in Durham over 24 years, and the West
Point on the Eno is a city treasure requiring our greatest care and protection. Very few cities our size have such
a pristeen river running through it for all to enjoy at no cost, including the many species of animal life and plant
life that call it home. A development one mile long adajacent to the park without sufficient visual and spacial
buffer will be very detrimental. There is also risk to the historic artifacts in the park. Please do not let this
development move through. There must be other places for yet another town home project. Thank you. Betsy
