Development of this area would be a shame. This is an area that should be preserved for it provides vital habit fir
multiple species and its tree canopy provides natural protection, so necessary in an urban setting, to mitigate
climate crisis -related issues. The loss of this area would also be detrimental to Durham residents and others in
terms of quality of life. The developer needs to adequately address these concerns with ample oversight from the
government and input from residents and other stakeholders.
