The existing bridge is a single span 27'-10" timber deck on I-beams rated in fair condition on the latest structure safety report. The replacement structure will be 2 @ 9' x 6' RCBC. The proposed culverts will have a skew of approximately 45 degrees. The roadway alignment will be adjusted slightly and the grade for the new structure will be raised slightly to accommodate proper vertical and horizontal curve design standards. The majority of the roadway storm water run-off will sheet flow off of the roadway across vegetated shoulders prior to entering the stream. A berm ditch will collect stormwater runoff from running down a proposed cut slope and discharge to a proposed storm drain system. Two new TB 2GI and one MCF will collect water from the shoulder berm gutter and dischage it to the adjacent stream. 12 Broad StreetNorth Carolina Department of TransportationHighway Stormwater Program STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR NCDOT PROJECTSProject Type:Bridge MaintenanceAddress:General Project InformationN/AWBS Element:Culvert Replacing BridgeWBS Element:Designer (Aaron Carver) - Mattern & Craig Consulting EngineersNCDOT Contact:828.298.1128Asheville, NC 28801Contractor / Designer:828.254.2201mkcalloway@ncdot.govAsheville, NC 28803Address:3/12/2020MadisonMars HillMike Calloway20 Old 74River Basin(s): City/Town:0.30Typical Cross Section Description: Surrounding Land Use: General Project Narrative:(Description of Minimization of Water Quality Impacts)NoRural-Woods and open Grass LandTerry Fork 6-96-10-3-40.20490 linear feetProject DescriptionProposed ProjectFrench BroadSupplemental Classification: High Quality Waters (HQW)Wetlands within Project Limits?
