The project involves a streambank stabilization along an unnamed
tributary to Abernethy Creek located at parcel ID # 121947 off of E
Tennessee Avenue, Bessemer City, Gaston County, NC. The project
area consists of undeveloped woodland and the unnamed tributary to
Abernethy Creek. An appro)amately 50 linear foot section of the
tributary's right streambank has eroded and become unstable. The
purpose of the proposed project is to stabilize this section of eroded
streambank preventing further degradation, loss of mature trees, and
damage to adjoining private property.
