Honestly, how much more of Durham are we going to pave over & destroy or poison the very features that make
it a city worth living in. We have so much to clean up and rectify from red -lining& discrimination to think about
such a development at the very edge of one of the greatest natural read pieces we have (the Eno River
watershed) is unconscionable. I am opposed to the Westpoint development and their permit application. How
many more after the fact examples does Durham (&Chapel Hill Carrboro Hillsborough & more) need to recognize
that developer assessments DO NOT reflect the true picture of the development's impacts and the impacts from
the 401 Individual Clean Water Act Permit disturbances. I do not think this project or specific permit is in the
Public Interest of Durham residents or the environment. At the very least a Public Hearing should be required for
this development.
