I am strongly opposed to the Westpoint development as this area is in need of protection for the people and
other animals that currently live here. We moved here to take respite in the green space and resplendent beauty
of the Eno River. I have heard from those that are more knowledgeable about the process that the assessments
do not reflect the true picture of the development's impacts and the impacts from the 401 Individual Clean Water
Act Permit disturbances. I understand the project doesn't currently require public comment but as the COVID
pandemic has taught us our green spaces have provided a haven and a respite during times of crisis. We can't
afford to lose these precious spaces. Whoever wants more money and to turn green into gold can go
somewhere else. We moved to North Durham near the Eno River to have a place to replenish ourselves away
from overdevelopment and consumerism. Please help us protect this sacred space.
