As a Durham county resident and North Carolina native, I am opposed to the Westpoint development and their
permit application. The Eno River is an ecological, historical, and societal bedrock of this community. It needs to
be protected. Furthermore, I am concerned about the Westpoint permit application for the following reasons I
have borrowed from others who oppose this:
The application omits how the development has negative impacts on water quality, specifically Durham's drinking
water
The application ignores public safety concerns about direct human contact with water/runoff from the
development
The application contains incomplete, conflicting, and/or incorrect information
The application omits how the development negatively impacts threatened and endangered species and their
habitat
The application does not account for how the development negatively impacts historic sites
Wrong Permit type - based on impacts, public Interest, and appreciable opposition
