The City of Asheville's Water Resources Department/Water Production Division contracts sludge removal through a contractor that specializes in removal of solids in a sludge form that are agitated and pumped into a holding tank to increase solids content. These solids are mixed with a polymer and processed through a belt filter press to form a dry cake solid that can be transported to the Buncombe County Sanitary Landfill for disposal. In 2021, BioNomic Services Inc., removed 23.24 dry tons from lagoon #1 during an 11 day period. Signature: 0 ameAci Date: 30, 2U.2(
