This DMR represents a semi-annual monitoring event for the pollutants as required by the storm water permit. The September 2021 analyses indicate that Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) was reported below the benchmark monitoring value (BMV) at the site's storm water discharge outfalls 1-4. BOD results for outfalls 2 was above the BMV. In addition, the results for all other characteristic analyses were below the assigned BMV's. This is the first exceedance of BOD. Evonik will address the BOD benchmark exceedance by instituting Tier One management for Outfall 2.
